Reel Story specializes in documenting the design and construction of large scale structures over time, and no project better represents this format better than the Rose Bowl.
Reel Story began documenting the $195 million renovation of the historic Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena in June of 2010, and completed the project in early 2013. Along the way we’ve provided the clients (5 stakeholders including partnering construction companies) with annual update videos and on-demand video of various milestones, like the removal of the old press box, topping out ceremony and installation of the new scoreboard. A final edited program which encompasses the entire project is now being edited.
The purpose of a case study video is to tell the unique story of how a project was envisioned, how challenges were met or how the capabilities of the client benefited the project. To accomplish this Reel Story combines interviews, on-site videography, time-lapse images, 3D animation and archival footage to tell a complete and compelling story that will be interesting to viewers inside and outside of the industry.
Big and small, long or short term, these case study videos have proven invaluable to our clients to share with the community, enter awards competitions, post on web sites and social media and for new business development.
